A large-scale outdoor sound installation that reimagines the acoustic environment of city spaces. Positioned throughout a public plaza, multiple sound sources create a layered composition derived from recordings of the city’s sonic history.
The piece blends archival recordings from the 1960s with contemporary field recordings, creating a temporal collage that invites listeners to consider how urban soundscapes have evolved over decades.
Part of the Public Art Commission series, installed in downtown Seattle from September through December 2024.
